By Air Hilton Head Airport (HHH) – Commuter airlines fly directly into Hilton Head. The 4,300-foot airstrip also accommodates private aircraft. Savannah International (SAV)– Major carriers fly into Savannah, GA. Airport transportation is available to and from Savannah Airport via limousine service.
By Car Hilton Head Island is located off the coast of South Carolina between Beaufort, SC and Savannah, GA. Motorist should take I-95 to S.C. Exit 8 (U.S. Hwy 278); then follow the signs to Hilton Head. Palmetto Dunes/Shelter Cove is located on U.S. Hwy 278, approximately 8 miles after the bridge to the island.
By Boat Palmetto Dunes/Shelter Cove Harbour is located on Broad Creek, just off the Intracoastal Waterway at marker R ”32”. The channel up Broad Creek is well marked. Shelter Cove Harbour has 9’ MLW.LATITUDE 32 10n; LONGITUDE 80 44 W. Harbourmaster monitors VHF #16 and #68. Slips are available for vessels up to 110’ in length. Dockage reservations are suggested.
